►STRADBROKE ISLAND: The people of Redlands have every reason to be disappointed with the state budget, says Cleveland LNP MP Mark Robinson.

Reeves, who became known as the "Butcher of Bega" after he surgically removed a patient's labia and clitoris without her consent, has been on trial in the NSW District Court over the death of 38-year-old Kerry Ann McAllister. More here.
► BALLARAT: An elderly Ballarat woman has lived for three years without hot water, heating or cooking because her registered carer and flatmate failed to pay the gas bill, an aged care outreach worker said.
The carer disappeared three months ago and the woman in her seventies, who is frequently hospitalised, now faces “imminent homelessness”. More here.
