Mount Isa Basketball Association Pres Pearl Isaacson said it was a huge weekend with some very close matches.
Winter season begins July 11 for women’s basketball and July 13 for men’s A, B, and C grades.
Full results are as follows:
A-grade men’s
Pandemonium A defeated Homeboiz 50-43
Pandemonium took out the premiers for this season.
Minor premiers were Celtics A-grade men’s.
Scott Amor was Most Valuable Player (MVP) for the grand finals.
Jade Geary was MVP for the season.
A-grade women’s
Blazers defeated Wahine Toa 63-36 in a close and fierce game.
Minor premiers were Blazers, at the top of the ladder for the season.
MVP for grand finals was Krystle Chong.
MVP for season was Kimberley Munroe.
B-grade men’s
Kings defeated Celtics B 55-52 in a very close game.
MVP for grand finals was Rayven Ronquillo.
Kings were minor premiers for the season as well.
MVP for the season was Jay Santos.
B-grade women’s
Hoopers defeated Sonic Health 18-5
Sonic Health were the minor premiers for the season.
MVP for grand finals was Emily Stanton (Hoopers)
MVP for the season was a tie – Emma Quilty (Hoopers) and Kylie Tom (Sonic).
C-grade men’s
Young Bucks were premiers for the season, defeating Brathas 52-49 in a very close game
Minor premiers were the Young Bucks.
MVP for the grand finals was Adam Mose.
MVP for the season was also Adam Mose, a junior player.
C-grade women’s
Divas won premiers for season in grand finals against Bam Semi Pros 22-18
The minor premiers were BAM Semi Pros.
MVP for grand final was Ashleigh Trenerry.
MVP for season Bette McGarvey and Julie Hanlon.

A-grade women’s
Wahine Toa defeated Celtics 54-35
Wahine Toa will vs Blazers in grand finals this weekend
Crystal Chong Lisa Parker and Shaqeigha George are the players to watch out for at grand finals – they went straight in
Kimberley Munroe, Mareta Alexander, Wairita Emery players for Wahine Toa.
Blazers are the favourites to win.
B-grade women’s
Hoopers vs. Diamonds 22 – 18
This was a close game, Hoopers ended up getting ahead in the last game by four points
Hoopers will vs Sonic in grand finals.
Amy Thomas, Jennifer Anderson are players to watch in the grand final for Sonics
Emma Quilty and Emma Stanton will be hard to defend in Hoopers.
C-grade women’s
Divas defeated Mount Isa Mangoes 40-32.
Divas vs BAM Semi Pros in grand finals.
Players to look out for were Betty McGarbey and Julie Hanlon and Kimberley Stokes.
For Divas, players to watch were Nadene Hardie, and Aaliyah Harrison.
