The Mount Isa School of Dance students would spend their $1000 prize on dance lessons, Eisteddfod entry fees and costumes. “No, they are not cheap,” the girls said. 

“We hope to do something with it (dancing) in our career and then become a dance teacher.” 

There were five entries in the competition. The second place winner was  the Dream It Live It (DILI) Dance School junior dancers. The school’s owner Sally Prendergast said she was proud of her students’ performance, and would have been even if they had not placed. Juniors celebrate with a party. 

In third place was singer Tara Sweetman, who was first to compete and persevered through sound technical difficulties. She won $250.
