The Bubble Muffin cooking show at the Mount Isa Show was a hit with the juniors with chef Kevin’s loud banter and colourful outfit and recipes grabbing the attention of the little ones.
Kevin said Bubble Muffin Kids Cooking Club began in Melbourne but now caters for children across Australia with a serious message behind the fun.
“Bubble Muffin is all about eliminating childhood obesity but our show is all about getting kids to associate food with a bit of fun and colour,” Kevin said.
I wanted to do something about it so looking at my talents, I come from a theatrical background and I’m a chef by trade so I bring those together.”
In Mount Isa Kevin said he was “testing out the boundaries of a sandwich”.
“And we’ve got a fruit pizza which brings a whole new concept to fruit and pizza, “he said.
“The kids demand this – they want colour in it.”
