The “Red Beard Challenge for BP Mount Isa” is on Friday at Sanctum Medi Spa Retreat. The event raises money for the family of former Mount Isa police officer Sgt Brendan Poustie killed in a car accident recently in Mackay.

The Lions Club will hold a barbecue in Simpson St and there will be cupcakes and biscuits for sale, and a multi-draw raffle.
