Naidoc Week events begin in Mount Isa on Sunday with a flag-raising ceremony.

The ceremony takes place on the Civic Centre lawns from 10am to noon with a Mass at the Catholic Church at 5pm.
On Monday 10am there is a QPS flag raising at the police station with a trivia night at the Overlander at 6pm. Tuesday starts with a corporate women’s breakfast at 7am at the Buffs with a mega playgroup at Minnie Davis Park at 9am. There is a hospital under the tree lunch from 11am and a kup-murri at Jimaylya Topsy Harry Centre at 1pm.
On Wednesday the MIM seniors lunch is at the Ovie from 11am, a Youth day at Sunset Park from 11am, a Yallambee Community Day from noon, a lunch at the Pamela St hostel and a PLO kup-murri, both at noon.
The Kalkatunga language project will be launched Thursday 10am at the Civic Centre Lawn with a Mount Isa Recovery Service open day at noon. Friday sees a breakfast at 8am and a street march at 9.30am from Outback at Isa.
A Mob FM fun day starts at the skate park goes from 10am-4pm and a touch comp is at Kruttschnitt Oval from 10am-5pm.
Estelle Cardiff Kindy holds a fun day Saturday July 8 10am-2pm with the gala dinner that evening at the Ovie from 6.30pm.
The closing mass is on Sunday July 9 at 8am followed by the flag lowering from the Civic Centre lawns at 10.30am and a basketball competition at 2pm at the basketball stadium.
