Monday’s forecast for Mount Isa is for partly cloudy conditions with just a 5 per cent chance of rain.
That chance dips to zero for the rest of the week with sunny conditions expected until Sunday.
We are expecting a max of 26 degrees Monday with temps rising to 28 Tuesday and 29 on Wednesday before gradually falling back to 26 by Sunday.
Minimums will be around 10 except Saturday which has a warmer night of 14.
We have had 8.8mm officially for the city in July so far with 4.8 falling Wednesday, 0.4 Friday, 2.0 on Saturday and 1.6 on Sunday.
There were isolated good falls elsewhere with Urandangi getting 8.0mm on Friday and Winton Airport 18.8mm.
In the wider north west region, there is a slight chance of patchy rain south of Mount Isa during Monday morning and afternoon but a “near zero chance of rain elsewhere”.
Cloncurry is expecting a top of 27 Monday with similar temperatures to Mount Isa for the rest of the week.
There’s no rain predicted in the Gulf either with Normanton and Doomadgee expecting a top of 32 Monday and Burketown 31.
