Sarah Gohdes-Smith, Nominated Supervisor & Centre Director, said the children were thrilled to receive the specially printed shirts to celebrate this important week.
“We are very pleased to be celebrating this occasion with some gorgeous kindergarten shirts with this year’s theme - Our Language Matters.”
“The shirts are available for all kindergarten funded children and are included with their enrolment into our kindergarten program here at Red Oasis,” Ms Gohdes-Smith said.
This is the first time the children have had the Naidoc shirts, and the second time for staff.
“We wear these every Friday and Monday as a part of our uniform over the year!”
“I recall the children mentioning that now they have a uniform shirt just like ours,” Ms Gohdes-Smith said.
The official Naidoc Week shirt design ‘Many Tribes Many Languages’ was ordered through Bundarra.
