Two men have been charged with possession of restricted animals.

It will be alleged that on July 13 police intercepted a vehicle in Mount Isa and located a large number of native reptiles. The reptiles were seized by police and are being cared for.

Two men aged 19 and 27 were charged with nine offences of possessing restricted animals and will appear before the Mount Isa Magistrates Court on August 7.
