They were among the 180 people driving 90 cars in the Road Boss rally taking the road far less travelled from Gladstone to Tamworth via inland Queensland raising funds for Givit charity.
The rally rolled into town Friday afternoon and stayed for two nights with most enjoying a great day at the camel races.
Givit media adviser Ash Moore said the rally puts a lot of money into towns they travelled to and helped local community groups.
“For example in Winton the Pony Club did dinner and the scouts did breakfast,” Mr Moore said.
“And also we are dropping gifts along the way purchasing them locally wherever possible.”
Rally drivers used Boulia to fix their cars and enjoy down time at the races.
