Greg Fietz from Panel Repairs and Robbie Campbell from Duchess Road Automotive organised the event.
"It's been going since 1978, but for a few years it hasn't happened,” Greg said.
Around 90 motor traders paid to take part in the nine-hole golf day at Mount Isa Golf Club.
“All the mechanics, panel beaters, car yards, tyre fitters, everyone gets out there and plays a game,” he said.
Once the golf club nominations were subtracted for the club, $2200 was left to donate.
Mount Isa Leukaemia Foundation and North West Queensland Prostate Cancer Support Group each received a cheque for $1100.
“In the past we’ve given money to Starlight Foundation and the Mount Isa Special School,” Greg said.
“We wanted the money to go somewhere local again this year.”
The winners on the day were ‘The Sultans of Swing’ – including players Andrew Lawrenson, Glen Backash, Greg Palm.
