She enjoyed the first aid training that could be of vital importance in the bush. “(We) had a few accidents out there where I enjoyed taking care of people,” Ms Arnold said.
Her passion for health was a reason why she studied nursing for four years at Mount Isa Centre for Rural and Remote Health – but while living in Cloncurry. “I was always interested in nursing but I did not want to go to the coast to study,” Ms Arnold said.
Ms Arnold and Kristy Inskip soon graduate as nurses, with only two online courses to go. They shared cake with MICRRH staff at the end of their last formal classes on Friday.
