QUEENSLAND Exploration Council’s chairman Geoff Dickie has resigned after seven years in his position.

His position has been passed onto Brad John, a chief government geologist, according to Queensland Resources Council’s chief executive Ian Macfarlane, who said the previous chair had directed the council through challenges.
Mr Dickie was valued by both sides of governments during reviews of Fly In, Fly Out, and the Land Access Regime, said Mr Macfarlane. Mr Dickie remains in QEC’s management.
