Among these officers was the new Mount Isa Superintendent Glen Pointing. He is currently on leave and scheduled to begin his role in August.
His predecessor, Townsville Chief Superintendent Kev Guteridge also presented awards at the ceremony, as did Far Northern District Chief Superintendent Brett Schafferius.
Officers were recognised for their years of service, and for work on operations still in the court system, such as the arrests made involving the possession of 32 reptiles.
