Betty Cuthbert goes to her God with serenity and humility

And so Betty Cuthbert, the "Golden Girl", the hero of Australia throughout the late 1950s and much of the 1960s, the fastest female sprinter the world had seen - has gone to her God, passing away overnight in the home for the aged in Western Australia where she was residing.
