Three teenagers have been charged after ramming police cars before hitting a spike strip during a wild highway chase west of Brisbane on Thursday morning, according to police.

It will be alleged officers tried to stop a black BMW four-wheel-drive on the Warrego Highway near the Gatton Bypass just before 10am. However, police said the vehicle, allegedly stolen from the Sunshine Coast, fled at high speed.
It will further be alleged the 4WD slowed down through Helidon and a 17-year-old man jumped out and fled. He was later arrested. Police said a 15-year-old boy then jumped into the driver's seat and sped away.
However, police laid a spike strip at Helidon just after 10am, which the car hit before coming to a halt 20 minutes later. Police surrounded the disabled vehicle, which allegedly reversed into officers before the occupants were arrested.
Three police officers suffered minor injuries, while the 15-year-old boy was taken to hospital for treatment of minor wounds from broken glass.
A 17-year-old Kingston man was charged with a string of offences including dangerous operation of a vehicle, assault or obstruct police, enter dwelling with intent, unlicensed driving, stealing and disqualified driving. He was expected in Toowoomba Magistrates Court on Friday.
A 15-year-old Caboolture South boy was also charged with a string of offences including dangerous operation of a vehicle while adversely affected, obstruct police, enter dwelling with intent, failure to provide a specimen of breath for analysis and driving unlicensed.
An 18-year-old Windsor woman was charged with unlawful use of a motor vehicle, obstruct police and failure to stop motor vehicle. She was expected in Toowoomba Magistrates Court on Friday.
