Peta Laffin, Assistant Principal - Religious Education, said the day was an opportunity for visiting local kindergartens to experience the St Kieran’s family.
“Children engaged in a range of fun rotational activities, including a reading corner, block building, dancing, hairspray, face painting and obstacle courses.”
"A big thank you to our own adopt-a-cop, Constable Ashlee, who had fun getting her face painted.
“Also, a big thank you to the Mount Isa Fire Brigade for keeping the littles and school children entertained with the fire truck and hose.”
Students were treated to a session with celebrated Indigenous Australian writer, Boori Monty Pryor.
Boori Monty Pryor is best known as a storyteller and as the inaugural Australian Children's Laureate.
The children were well looked after by St Kieran's leaders, and students from Good Shepherd Catholic College were also there to lend a hand.
