The map shows the entire route the baton will take as it travels around the Commonwealth and then Australia ahead of the Commonwealth Games in the Gold Coast in April 2018 and you can zoom in on specific areas just as you would with a Google Map.
The baton is now in Swansea in Wales and arrives in Canberra ahead of Australia Day next year.
The baton will then do a loop around the states from the ACT to New South Wales, then Tasmania, Victoria, South Australia, Western Australia and the Northern Territory.
It’s first arrival in Queensland will be on the Cape York peninsula on March 4 and will go to Cooktown a day later before heading to the North West.
The baton arrives in Cloncurry on Tuesday March 6 and will travel down the Barkly Highway to Mount Isa that day.
The baton will stay in Mount Isa that night before flying down to Birdsville on Wednesday March 7.
Then the baton heads east as far as Roma before heading north along the Landsborough Highway arriving in Winton on Sunday, March 11.
The baton heads to Hughenden that night and lands in Prairie on March 12 before heading towards Cairns before the long march down the coast.
The baton is expected to arrive on the Gold Coast on April 1 (not an April’s Fools joke!).
The Baton will conclude its 388-day journey across the Commonwealth at the GC2018 Opening Ceremony on April 4 where the Games will be declared open when the Queen’s message is read aloud.
