This included two unsolved arsons, two solved robberies, and an unsolved fraud case in August.
In Mount Isa during this time there were 64 assaults, 49 thefts, which does not include unlawful entry, and 45 matters of property damage.
There were 28 reports of unlawful entry and 54 drug offences.
171 of the crimes happened during rodeo week, between August 6 and August 13. During this time there was 23 assaults, 14 property damages, 10 thefts and one unlawful entry.
The 469 crimes make up the bulk of the crimes reported across the entire Mount Isa District – ranging from Birdsville to Mornington Island – in August. There were 653 crimes in the district including 87 assaults and 79 drug offences.
In the Cloncurry Division, part of the Mount Isa District, there were 26 crimes in August. Theses included nine traffic matters, three assaults, and one unlawful entry.
