Nominations for the 2017 Northern Outback Business Awards are set to close this Friday September 15 so you only have a few more days left to acknowledge outstanding businesses and customer service in the region.

An event aimed at recognising and rewarding the efforts and achievements of individuals and businesses throughout the Northern Outback, nominations are open to the public via a simple online system.

With close to 30 different award categories up for grabs ranging from service excellence in various fields through to business growth, innovation, new investment and even customer service heroes, people are encouraged to take a couple of minutes to nominate those businesses or employees who they feel have excelled in the last 12 months.

The awards are open to nominations from the local Government areas of Boulia, Burke, Carpentaria, Cloncurry, Croydon, Doomadgee, Etheridge, Flinders, McKinlay, Mornington, Mount Isa and Richmond.

The winners will be announced in a gala ceremony at the Mount Isa Civic Centre, Saturday October 14 with tickets on sale now.

Hosted by Commerce North West and supported by the Department of State Development the Northern Outback Business Awards are a way of honouring those in business who exemplify stand out business practises, innovation and the drive to grow and service their customers according to Commerce North West President Travis Crowther.

“It’s not easy being in business; no matter whether you are a small operation or a large one, so it is always nice to receive recognition for your hard work and dedication not to mention the accolade of actually taking out your category on the night,” Mr Crowther said.

To find out more about the categories, ticket sales and to nominate head to the events tab of the Commerce North West website http://www.commercenorthwest.com.au/index.php/events/commerce/northern-outback-business-awards.

No limits apply on the number of nominations you can submit and self-nominations for businesses are eligible.
