The PCYC will host the program between 7am to 6pm from Monday, September 18, to Friday, September 29.
Mount Isa PCYC school aged care coordinator Tameka Dunkley said the program is designed for parents who have jobs with long hours, and find it difficult to maintain these long hours as well as look after children.
The program starts with an ‘All About Me’ day, where the staff have a variety of activities planned. Ms Dunkley said the day is about learning more about the children and their interests and personalities.
There will be a movie day excursion, where kids get to go to the movies, a wheel day, where kids are allowed to bring bikes, scooters, and their helmets. Other highlights include a disco dress up day, and a lip sync day, where kids get to show off their singing talent.
There will an excursion to Peacock Park where there will be a sausage sizzle.
The program will finish with a carnival day, where children get to have fun on a jumping castle. There will be carnival games and hotdogs available.
