The Crime Stoppers program provides an avenue for the community to assist police in solving and preventing crimes, with the ultimate goal of making our community a safer place to live.
Crime Stoppers is a registered charity and community volunteer organisation which provides and promotes anonymous contact mediums for the general public to report information anonymously.
In its 29th year, Crime Stoppers program was established in Queensland in 1989 and operates throughout Australia, and worldwide.
Volunteers are community minded people who want to make a difference to the safety of their local community.
Crime Stoppers is successful in Queensland because of the more than 600 volunteers throughout the state, who contribute their valuable time to ensure the success of each local Area Committee.
Join the Mount Isa Crime Stoppers branch on Thursday at their annual general meeting, and know your couple of hours each month can assist in making our community safer.
Volunteers must be 15 years old, or older.
If you have information for police, you can contact Policelink on 131 444, provide information using the online form 24 hours a day, or report information about crime anonymously to Crime Stoppers by calling 1800 333 000 or via crimestoppersqld.com.au 24 hours a day.
