They now wait for the final results announced at the awards to be held at the Mount Isa Civic Centre on Saturday, October 14.
Judges are kept busy if all the nominated businesses handed their submissions in on time.
130 businesses were nominated, according to event manager Katie Schrodter.
She said that organisers at Commerce North West and Department of State Development- North West region have worked hard to ensure every nomination is checked.
Each needs either a referee report for individual customer service awards or an email or paper based submission for the business categories.
The process was “an extremely useful tool for professional development and reviewing your operations and procedures”, she said.
Questions the nominated businesses were asked include their growth achieved, innovative ideas and unique attributes, their market research and customer service.
The submissions are reviewed by an independent board of judges that come with various professional and business backgrounds.
These winners will be announced in the gala event which includes a three course meal, entertainment and a surprise theme yet to be announced.
Last year’s theme was Bollywood.
The event will be held at the Mount Isa Civic Centre.
Tickets for the gala dinner can be bought at the civic centre’s box office.
