In first place, winning $19,200 was Galea Warrior ridden by Keith Ballard, owned by Robert Burow.
Mr Burow was thrilled with his biggest win yet.
“Unbelievable. I’m only sort of a hobby trainer, but I try my best whenever I can, and thankfully it’s worked out good, the early mornings paid off,” Mr Burow said.
“We actually bought the horse in the hope that it would race in this, and it went to Birdsville and ran a good second a couple of weeks before. He’s improved a bit since then and actually got the win, it’s terrific!”
