Around 5.50pm on Monday, September 25, police were called to Marion Street outside Outback at Isa following reports of a two vehicle crash.
Mount Isa Police say a Subaru Liberty sedan has struck the white Toyota HiAce minibus when the two vehicles entered the intersection of Marion Street and Mullan Street at around 5.30pm.
Police say the 53-year-old man driving the minibus and the 22-year-old man driving the Subaru were not injured, and there were no passengers.
Sergeant Ross Kirkpatrick said the incident is under investigation.
“It’s under investigation as to who is responsible. The Subaru has entered the intersection, struck the minibus on its side and caused it to rollover onto its right side,” he said.
Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) and Queensland Rural Fire Service (QRFS) attended the scene, where there were no injuries.
Both vehicles sustained extensive damage and were towed from the scene.
