The Eagles games record-holder will meet with Sydney administration on Thursday for discussions on an appointment to join Swans head coach John Longmire's support staff.
Cox, 36, is also considering a counter offer of a new two-year deal from West Coast to stay in support of senior coach Adam Simpson.
