The dual Coleman medallist played a key role in the Tigers' drought-breaking premiership last month as they stormed to a 48-point victory over Adelaide in front of more than 100,000 fans at the MCG.

Riewoldt revealed he feels like a different person now that he is a premiership player and is determined to help the Tigers achieve consecutive premierships for the first time in 44 years.

"I think the thing that I reflect on the most is the 10 minutes or, I suppose actually, the hour post winning the game," Riewoldt told RSN on Tuesday.

"The elation straight away is something that I think that is the driving force.

"Once you've experienced it, I just want to get back there and experience that 30 seconds when the siren goes and just pure elation and then the hour after that celebrating with the fans is certainly going to be a really strong driving force for us hopefully to come out and perform well again next year."

Riewoldt said another motivating factor for the Tigers next year is helping the players who missed out on being part of this year's grand final to hopefully taste premiership success.

"The thing for us is that we had so many of our young guys that we rate really highly inside the football club miss out and they lost the grand final in the VFL," he said.

"So guys like Connor Menadue, Oleg Markov, Jayden Short who played 16 games this year, Sam Lloyd as well that played a lot of senior footy but didn't get to play in that premiership - they're the ones that are going to be the real driving force along with myself, Alex [Rance] and Trent [Cotchin] obviously as the leaders of the club to keep us in a fairly good frame and in a good spot for going into next season.

"Obviously it starts with the pre-season but I think we've still got a little bit of leeway with celebrating to go."

After 10 days, the magnitude of what Richmond achieved was finally starting to sink in for Riewoldt.

"I've watched the game back a couple of times and obviously reliving it through that," he said.

"The little conversations you've had with teammates over a quiet beer and just reliving it that way is obviously starting to make it feel like it's definitely happened.

"It's been an awesome week-and-a-half and a lot of guys have had a lot of fun over the week-and-a-half."
