In North Queensland, Macca’s owners, managers and their crew are stepping into the role of “charity champions” as they take part in celebrations to raise awareness and much-needed funds for the charity.
Police, firies, local sporting and community groups, businesses and politicians also got behind the charity volunteering at restaurants across the region
McDonald’s Mount Isa owner Cristina Davis said the charity did important work providing hospital-adjacent accommodation and other vital support services to sick kids and their families when they are dealing with an unimaginable situation.
“It’s great to get the community involved raising both awareness and funds for this great cause,” she said.
Volunteers included Alison Gibbs who was crowned Mount Isa Rodeo Charity Queen 2017 for her fundraising efforts for Ronald McDonald House North Qld.
