Linda Brooks is to be extradited from Perth to face court in Brisbane over an alleged fraudulent business deal worth almost $2 million in 2008.
She was arrested after flying into a Perth airport on Friday and detectives want to question her husband, Queensland Police have confirmed.
It will be alleged Ms Brooks was a director of a sports clothing manufacturing company who, along with other directors, was dishonest about the success of the business in order to induce a victim to purchase a 50 per cent share of the company.
The 45-year-old Southport woman has been ordered by Perth authorities to appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court on November 13 in relation to one count of fraud.
Neil Brooks is best known for winning gold at the 1980 Moscow Olympics as part of the 4x100m medley relay team and was a former high-profile presenter on the Seven Network.
He left Australia with his wife and daughter Brooke in 2010. He first lived in France before moving to the United Kingdom. He is believed to be in Bali, the Nine Network reported.
