The two sides clashed in warm conditions in the morning game on Saturday at Captain Cook Oval and Challengers went in to bat.
Dom was the highest scorer for the challengers compiling a half century lashing out late in his innings after a patient start.
He was finally dismissed for 52.
Pradap Nadada also did well for the Challengers making 37.
At the end of their allotted 20 overs Challengers had made 160 for the loss of seven wickets with Billy Baillie taking 3/36 and Adam Moes 2/26 doing the damage for the bowlers.
A target of 161 seemed imposing but Townview made light work of it.
Having starred with the ball, Moes was the main man with the bat too coming in at number three to steady the innings after the opening batsmen were dismissed cheaply.
He held his bat aloft at the end making a sizzling 71 not out.
Billy Baillie also chipped in making 23.
In the end Townview defeated Challengers by five wickets with 6 balls to spare.
Not surprisingly Townview’s man of the match Adam Moes with 2/26 and 71 not out.
Next best was Billy Baillie made 23, and 3/36.
Other notables Daniel Burke with 2/27.
At Sunset Oval Blackstars batted first with Andy Cullis making 53 in their total of 3/175.
Panthers fell short in the run chase at 7/167 despite D. Tucker making 57.
Blackstars won the game by 8 runs.
This Sunday, Mount Isa Junior Cricket will host a sign on day at Sunset Oval.
Sign is from 10am-noon and more details will be provided on the day about training and games.
