The action comes after complaints from community members about motorised vehicles using the pedestrian path.
Patrols will focus on vehicle use of road and road-related areas on Lake Moondarra Road.
Police say unlawful use of a road-related area, particularly where recreational facilities are in place for pedestrian and bicycle use, causes the potential for a serious incident or fatality to occur.
Marked and unmarked police vehicles will be monitoring the area around Lake Moondarra Road for offences relating to dangerous driving.
The maximum penalty for dangerous operation of motor vehicle is $25,230 or three years imprisonment.
