Wests were staring down the barrel after losing the toss and needing 197 runs to win but someone forgot to tell openers Ethan Bartlett and Matt Condon, who blitzed the Creek bowling attack.

Bartlett smacked 74 from just 34 balls before he was eventually caught, while skipper Condon finished with 65 as the dynamic duo put on a 134-run opening stand in just 11 overs.

Those were the only wickets Wests lost en route to an emphatic win as they reached the total with 16 balls to spare to lift the Konica Minolta Cup for the first time in four years.

Condon said it was as good a win as he's been a part of in the shortest version of the game and praised his opening partner Bartlett for a man-of-the-match performance.

"It was wet and hard to control the ball, so I backed the boys and was pretty confident if we got a good start we'd get there, it was a great team effort and a fantastic win," Condon said.

"I was away the last time the boys won it, so to be part of this is pretty special and we lost a few players this week, so I couldn't be prouder of the boys.

"Ethan is pretty special, he's getting on a bit but he's still one of the best players in the competition and the way he batted tonight, he just really took the game away from them."

Weston Creek elected to bat first and skipper John Rogers was at his usual best, scoring 72 not out from 45 balls, but he was later on the receiving end getting whacked for 43 run in two overs.

Sam Taylor (42) was the next best for Creek, while Mark Bennett (37 not out) and Jono Dean also chipped as they posted a defendable 3-196.

Wests opener Josh Corbett (1-18) was the pick of the bowlers, while Joseph Cooke (1-33) and Bartlett (1-54) were the only other wicket-takers.
