On the eve of All Saints' Day in 1517, a renegade monk named Martin Luther hammered 95 theses on a church door in Germany, launching a movement that forever changed Christianity.
To commemorate the event, St Paul’s is hosting a service at 10am Sunday, October 29, with guest speaker, police chaplain Horst Sauer, followed by the “Longest Lutheran lunch” involving every Lutheran church in the world hosting a special lunch.
St Paul’s pastor Lauri Iso-Aho said the importance of Martin Luther was getting back to the word of God.
“In his time the Church was far away from where it was supposed to be,” he said.
All are welcome to the Sunday service.
