Queenslanders are still in the dark about the election date, but that has not stopped Labor candidates from ramping up the battle and bringing in some big guns from interstate.

Education Minister Kate Jones will hold her campaign launch for the seat of Cooper on November 2, with federal Labor MP Tanya Plibersek and party president John Battams her special guests, with general tickets at $50.
Labor candidate for Everton David Greene has invited former prime minister Kevin Rudd to headline his launch on Saturday, with the tag line "Kevin 07 and Greene 17", with tickets at $30.
Labor candidate for Macalister Melissa McMahon is hosting her campaign launch on Sunday, with entry set at $10.
The Queensland Council of Unions is also planning campaign launches for the seats of Maryborough and Whitsunday - both on very slim margins - this week.
Earlier this month, Environment Minister Steven Miles and Deputy Premier Jackie Trad hosted "A night with Jackie and Steven", billed as the "campaign event of the season", with proceeds supporting the Murrumba and South Brisbane campaigns.
But it has not stopped the election rumour mill from swirling, with some still predicting a poll date in November.
The campaign launches will undoubtedly add more fuel to the election speculation fire but it would not be unheard of for a campaign launch to be held months before the election.
Volunteers for Labor and the LNP have been standing by roadsides with corflutes for weeks and the Greens have been conducting a heavy doorknocking campaign in seats, including South Brisbane.
Last month, Labor released its first televised attack ad and it has also rolled out billboards and phone booth ads.
The LNP has released its own ads and a social media and online campaign.
If the election was called early next week, the poll date would be November 25.
