After being battered by hail, the severe weather has eased over south-east Queensland, paving the way for top temperatures to climb in the next few days and forecast to hit 31C by the end of the week.

BoM meteorologist Rick Threlfall said there "would not be too much more (rain)" overnight after severe weather warnings for most of the south-east were cancelled on Monday evening.
"There might be odd showers through the night because the atmosphere is unstable, but we don't expect any more severe weather warnings tonight," Mr Threlfall said on Monday.
Storms and showers had been forecast to continue into Tuesday morning, but the Bureau of Meteorology revised its predictions after conditions eased.
Looking ahead, Brisbane is forecast to warm up quickly, going from a top of less than 23C on Monday to an expected high of 31C on Thursday.
The same maximum was predicted for Friday, with Sunday and Monday going for tops of 30C.
A "very cold" upper low over the south-east on Monday brought showers, storms and "an abundant amount of hail", BoM meteorologist Lauren Pattie said.

However, rainfall totals were lower than expected, with the upper low bringing more hail than rain.
The highest rainfall totals since 9am Monday were recorded on the Gold Coast with Tallai registering 42mm and Carrara 41mm.
Elsewhere, Mount Mee on the D'Aguilar Range recorded 38mm while Brisbane received less than a millimetre.
Ms Pattie said funnel clouds had also been spotted over the Toowoomba region, which are the makings of a tornado coming down from the clouds but not reaching the ground.

There were also reports of landspouts, which are weaker tornadoes created when rain and strong winds combine near the surface.
