The forecast for Thursday and Friday is for sunny weather, with 35 degrees on Thursday rising to 37 on Friday.
Saturday rises to 38 and will be partly cloudy.
The Bureau says a “possible shower” may develop Sunday but sunny conditions are expected for the rest of the forecast period including Tuesday for Melbourne Cup day.
The Mount Isa airport gauge registered no rain Sunday (though it was clearly raining in town) but got 11.8mms Monday and 6.8mm Tuesday.
Isa got 39.2mms for the month of October, well below the 59.6mms record.
Cloncurry mostly missed out on the rain with just 1.6mm recorded for the last four days and there was no rain in Camooweal or Julia Creek.
