Michael Bagley, 31, will participate in a huge night of boxing at the Famous Fortitude Boxing Stadium which will include professional and corporate bouts.
Competing in the super welterweight division, Bagley will fight Ben Kite (Brisbane) in an eight round bout.
This will be Bagley’s fourth professional fight of his career with his standings at one win, one draw and one loss.
Bagley debuted his professional boxing career in March 2015 while Ben Kite’s career has been progressive since July 2014 and stands at nine wins, four loss and one draw.
Preparing himself in the eight weeks leading up to the fight, Bagley said he was feeling good leading into the ring.
“I feel prepared, fit, ready and on my weight,” he said.
“I have been working on my technique and fitness leading up to this bout.”
Trainer, James Derrick, said Bagley was more than ready for this competition.
“We have been conducting intense training over the last eight weeks, getting up at 3.30am, training, sparing and having a strict schedule,” Derrick said.
“He has been giving 110 per cent in his training, so I am pretty confident in how he has shaped up.”
Bagley hoped that a win this weekend could set him on a path to fight in a state or Australian title one day.
