Dynamited will have the option of some headgear for when he returns for a Golden Slipper campaign in the autumn after his near-perfect debut at Rosehill on Saturday.

The Exceed And Excel colt was still a little green and new to things but was able to run his last 600m in 33.85 seconds as he beat Secret Lady by a half-length, with Godolphin stablemate Rheingau 2.75 lengths away.

But the race experience will do Dynamited the world of good and blinkers could be used effectively on him come the autumn.

Dynamited had ear muffs in the stables and was handful before being saddled but on the track looked to have plenty of ability, albeit with a bit to learn. He was little wayward when Tye Angland asked him to extend after sitting to the outside of Secret Lady.

"I think he will be much better ridden with a bit of cover one or two back [from the front]," Angland said. "He didn't really know what to do when I asked him to extend, if he had it would have been a much bigger margin.

"He sort of wandered around a bit in the straight but once he got balanced he won like a very good two-year-old.

"There is improvement there as well."

It was Godolphin's second Sydney two-year-old winner after Elessedil and trainer James Cummings gave an indication that he could be among the better ones in the yard.

"We've had to cuddle him a little bit to get him here today - and a little bit of that was on show because he was above himself," Cummings said from Melbourne.

"He's got a heap of quality and he's got a turn of foot two lengths' superior to most of the horses we've seen so far.

"He's a really impressive individual. How far he advances from here will be the interesting thing. He's got what it takes to be a really nice horse for us.

"He'll find himself in a race like [the Slipper] and we'll probably keep him in Sydney. He's gone out there, pinged the lids, sat outside the leader and won nicely. He beat a filly that was thought highly of by the stable [Portelli's horse] to qualify it as a proper race."

It was the first leg of a winning double for Angland, who later won on Vassal for Chris Waller. That win also gave the premier trainer a winning double after Unforgiven racked up a third consecutive victory.

The Fastnet Rock filly still has some developing to do and Waller said she would be given a break and prepared for the autumn.

"She was giving away weight to the boys but I thought his win was very impressive," Waller said.

"We'll give her a very short break and bring her back for the autumn. I don't know what races we'll target yet but we'll take her through the naturally progression of 1400m to a mile and see what happens from there. That's why I wanted to back her up - so I could get her out.

"She'll get a distance and has the perfect cross of Fastnet Rock and Galileo. You hear Aidan O'Brien and Coolmore talk about it all the time and it is just a dominant cross. She has got it in reverse but we'll see it come out later."

Meanwhile, Melbourne jockey Daniel Moor was suspended for two weeks after breaching the whip rules, hitting Lycurgus 14 times before the 100m as he was runner-up to Vassal.
