Dajarra man charged on Camooweal child rape charge

On November 14, Detectives from Mount Isa Child Protection Investigation Unit charged a 44-year-old man with rape and indecent treatment of a child.

It will be alleged that the offences occurred in Camooweal in 2011 against a 13-year-old girl.

The 44-year-old Dajarra man will appear before the Dajarra Magistrates Court on November 23.

Police urge anyone who has information to contact Mount Isa Police, or contact Crime Stoppers.

Police invite anyone who wishes to talk to police regarding any historical offence to come forward.
