There was glamour aplenty at the Mount Isa Civic Centre on Friday night as the year 12s of Spinifex State College said goodbye to their schooling years with a gala formal.

There was a big crowd on hand on the lawn to enjoy the spectacle and they arrived in style via cars, utes, mokes, trucks, bikes and even a police car.
Many costumes not only matched their partner but also the colour of their vehicles.
The turning circle in the lawn was tight for some trucks but that didn’t matter as everyone clamoured for a vantage point to catch the action.
Proud parents looked on as their children kicked up their heels before getting ready for the next big chapter in their lives.
One of the school principals Chris Pocock was an engaging and funny host as they arrived on the red carpet.
