Labor officially launched its Queensland election campaign in a crowded room at the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre in the very safe LNP-held seat of Surfers Paradise.

A video featuring scenes of joy from Labor's election win in 2015 was played, followed by a list of achievements in areas such as jobs, education and tourism, before the words, "And she's not done yet", flooded the stage.

WBO welterweight champion Jeff Horn, who defeated Filipino boxer Manny Pacquiao earlier this year, took to the stage to introduce the Premier.

"Annastacia Palaszczuk believed in me - she backed me where many people wouldn't," Mr Horn said.

"She backed me in my title defence and I back her in hers.

"Let me introduce you to my friend, the Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk."

After listing her government's election pledges and achievements, including more than 134,000 new jobs, Ms Palaszczuk continued Labor's election strategy of linking LNP leader Tim Nicholls to the former Campbell Newman government, and the potential for a One Nation-LNP government.

"Six days from now, Queenslanders have a choice to make," she said.

"A choice between a Labor government that will deliver stability and will continue to create full-time jobs - or a chaotic LNP/ One Nation coalition that will cut them.

"A choice between certainty and uncertainty.

"A choice between stability and instability.

"A choice between a government that consu

lts Queenslanders and one who confronts them.

"Its a choice between a government that backs Queenslanders and one that sacks Queenslanders."

Ms Palaszczuk said her government had delivered stability, despite losing MPs such as Rob Pyne and Billy Gordon to the crossbench, and had restored hope and opportunity.

"Over the last 1000 days, we have put Queenslanders first, we have created jobs and developed skills," she said.

"We've turned around our state's economy, economic growth is up.

"There is so much more we can do together.

"Our best days are ahead of us and Labor has the record and the plans to build for a brighter future."

An enormous cheer roared out when Ms Palaszczuk said: "We have done it without selling our assets."

Like a well-versed choir, calls of "shame" rung out when Ms Palaszczuk spoke about One Nation and job cuts.

"Tim Nicholls cut our jobs programs in 2012 and he will cut them again if he is given another chance," Ms Palaszczuk said.

"This election, he is selling out to Pauline Hanson and One Nation."

Glorious, by Macklemore, and Can't Stop the Feeling, by Justin Timberlake, set the mood.

Labor candidate for Gaven Meaghan Scanlon said the party had not had a Labor MP on the coast for almost six years.

"Imagine what we could do with voices in the next Parliament," Ms Scanlon said.

Labor ministers sat in the front row, including Jackie Trad, Mark Bailey, Curtis Pitt, Kate Jones and Cameron Dick, while Ms Palaszczuk's father and former minister Henry Palaszczuk attended.

On Sunday, Labor announced an extra $93 million for the $420 million whole-of-government Advance Queensland initiative and the extension of the $20,000 First Home Owners Grant to June 2018.

Queensland employers would be eligible for up to $20,000 when they hired a mature-age jobseeker aged 55 and over under the Mature-Aged Workers Boost.

There would be an extra $20 million in new funding to attract international blockbusters and domestic film and TV productions, and $107 million to ensure Queensland meets the demand for quality teachers.

On Sunday, day 22 of the campaign, the LNP launched its campaign at The Triffid in Brisbane.
