It’s a fine time to be finishing college, as both Mount Isa secondary schools said goodbye to their most senior students last week.

Good Shepherd Catholic College paid farewell to its 2017 Year 12 cohort with an all-school assembly on Friday, November 17, and a Graduation Dinner on Saturday, November 18.
The formal occasion attracted more than a hundred visitors to the front lawn of Mount Isa Civic Centre, where guests started arriving from 5.15pm.
Passers-by would have spotted engines fit for the set of The Fast and Furious, as couples made their dramatic entrances on wheels.
Cars were just as shiny and bright as the clothes, with many contrasting hues accompanying suits and ballgowns.
Graduands arriving by car (or motorbike) walked the red carpet and posed for the crowd, and several flashing cameras.
Inside the Civic Centre, palm trees and sparkles created an inviting golden oasis to mark the students’ final school celebration together.
Big thanks to Year 12 Pastoral Leader & Curriculum Leader, Mel Allen, for helping us out with photos.
