For the sixth year running, locals will dress to impress, decorate their vehicles and tour the streets on December 10, to witness the best Christmas lights on display.
Event organiser, Megan Crowther, encouraged locals to take part and get in the Christmas spirit.
“We host this event each year as so many people in the community go to great lengths to do up their houses,” Ms Crowther said.
“Everyone has their own Christmas traditions and for many that includes looking at lights whether it be with the cavalcade or in their own time.
“So locals decorate and register their houses through the Mount Isa Christmas Lights Tour Facebook page.
“We will then do up a map of the route for the night and add all listed houses, under suburbs, for people to visit at their own leisure.”
The cavalcade will start at the Barkly Hotel at 7pm with a 7.30pm departure. Prizes are available for best dressed vehicle and best christmas lights display.
