The North West Star visited all secen booths in Mount Isa and as usual the city centre booth of Central was doing the brisket business.
KAP Member for Mount Isa and favourite to win the seat of Traeger Robbie Katter was campaigning at Central early in the morning before voting there at 9.30am.
He encouraged a vote for KAP saying neither major party could be trusted.
LNP candidate Ron Bird was also campaigning at Central at the same time.

Labor candidate Danielle Slade was over at Happy Valley with her family and supporters.
She said there wass still so much we need to talk about and things that need fixing.
“Health has been such a huge issue for our region,” she said.
For those looking for a bite to eat while they vote, there were barbecues at Central, Sunset, Townview and Healy.
Voting is open until 6pm.
