Mr Milar retained the seat, which now contains the Boulia, Winton and Diamantina shire, he first won in 2015 following the retirement of Vaughan Johnson.
With almost half the ballots counted, Mr Millar had 45% of the vote with One Nation’s Mark Higgins second on 24% and Labor’s Dave Kerrigan third on 21%.
Mr Millar thanked his workers across the many booths of this large electorate.
“My heartfelt thanks to our amazing LNP members and supporters, our family and friends who have worked so passionately prepolling and at all polling booths across Gregory,” Mr Millar said.
“You are all so very appreciated and your support is humbling. Thank you so much.”
