The 13-year-old girl was reported missing from her Pimpama school about 11.30am on Monday and police had held concerns for her welfare because her behaviour was "out of character".

She was described as 140 centimetres tall, with an olive complexion, dark brown hair, brown eyes and of Indian descent. It was also believed she may still have been wearing her school uniform.

However, she was found safe and well about 4pm, with police thanking the public for their help.
