Well you have the opportunity this weekend, when Mount Isa Rugby Union host its annual Ladies Day.
After the Mount Isa Races, Mount Isa Rugby Union will open their gates to the community to cheer on the two local matches on Saturday December 2.
Mount Isa Rugby Union president, Kurt McGregor, said the club thought it was a great opportunity to capitalise on the races and offer the crowd something to do later in the evening.
“We host this event each year to thank our loyal supporters who come down each week to cheer on the boys, while also boosting our support base,” McGregor said.
“Supporter numbers have been a little low over the last few weeks, so we hope to boost that with the Ladies Day event.
“On arrival, ladies will receive free entry, a free drink and some great rugby action.”
Cloncurry spokesperson, Harry Mounsey, said the first game of the evening between Cloncurry and Warrigals would be a big clash, with the boys providing plenty of action for all the spectators.
“Cloncurry has taken out the best looking rugby club in the Mount Isa competition for the past four years running, with Warrigals a close second,” he said.
“You can always expect big things out of the Cloncurry and Warrigals game, with the boys pulling out all the stops this weekend for Ladies Day.”
Gates open at 5.30pm with the first game between Cloncurry and Warrigals kicking off at 6pm, followed by a second match between Keas and Euros.
The World Cup final between Australia and England will also feature on the big screen at the MIRU grounds from 6pm with the Music Shack providing entertainment into the night at the conclusion of rugby games.
