Mount Isa Mines Rotary Rodeo General Manager Natalie Flecker paid tribute to the 2017 Rodeo Queen Moz Miller (representing The Laura Johnson Home); Charity Queen Alison Scrivener (nee Gibbs - Ronald McDonald House North Queensland); and entrants Caitlynd Gardner (BUSHKids); and Samantha Eaton (Estelle Cardiff Community Kindergarten).
“Thank you for the outstanding effort you have put into the 2017 Isa Rotary Rodeo Queen Quest, representing the Isa Rodeo as ambassadors for our event and of course, the huge task of raising funds for your chosen charities,” Ms Flecker said.

“A job well done and we hope you are as proud of your efforts as we are.”
Ms Flecker said the rodeo’s combined fundraising efforts achieved a grand total of $143,000 with payments made to charities and community groups, an increase of $5000 on the previous year.
Charity Queen Alison Scrivener presented her cheque of $32,685.70 to Ronald McDonald House North Queensland Paws representatives Cristina Davis and Amy Cooper.
Rodeo Queen Moz Miller presented her cheque of $30,156.70 to The Laura Johnson representatives Betty Kiernan and board members.
Samantha Eaton presented her cheque of $10,240.70 to The Estelle Cardiff Community Kindergarten representatives Narelle Elliott and board members.
Caitlynd Gardner presented her cheque of $7,379.60 to BushKids Mount Isa representatives Danica Kelly, Sarah Bartich and Phillipa Brown.
Ms Flecker also thanked the charities for supporting their entrants, the local community for supporting the various fundraising activities and to queen quest coordinator Sharnee Lloyd, and her assistant Di Atkins for her voluntary assistance giving the entrants valuable support and guidance during the year.
“This year it was exciting to work with a new community organisation, The Estelle Cardiff Community Kindergarten,” she said.
“We are looking forward to another successful year in 2018 and are in the process of finalising our entrants. If you are looking for an amazing experience, which will be both hard work but very rewarding, I would really encourage you to consider entering next year’s queen quest.”
