Coca-Cola has partnered with The Salvation Army to visit Outback towns this December, bringing festive cheer from Sydney to Far North Queensland and back again in the lead up to Christmas.
As long as a cricket pitch, the impressive 20-metre long truck is a dazzling festive decoration on-wheels, decked out with interactive flashing lights and filled to the brim with hampers and Christmas surprises.
Those lucky enough to see the rig as it makes its way through the desert or bush will also enjoy Christmas carol favourites playing from its cabin.
Globally, the Coca-Cola Christmas trucks have become festive icons since they first launched in the late 90s, but this is the first time the experience is offered in Australia.
The Coca-Cola Australian Christmas Truck Tour will support The Salvos through a series of community events that will deliver food, community facilities and the chance to come together with family and friends.
Fundraising and Communications Director of the Salvation Army, Leigh Cleave, was thrilled to have the support of Coca-Cola.
“Isolation and hardship can hit home during the Christmas period, so now more than ever it is vital we think of others and give hope to where it’s needed most,” Ms Cleave said.
Make sure you head to Outback at Isa, 19 Marian Street, to check out all the festive fun. You can follow the truck on the Coca-Cola Australia Facebook page.
