Locals can take part in the Christmas Lights Cavalcade that will start at the Barkly Hotel at 7pm before cruising the streets of Mount Isa to see the lights on display.
Event organiser, Megan Crowther, said many locals had already registered their houses for the tour, ahead of the weekend.
“We host this event each year as so many people in the community go to great lengths to do up their houses,” Ms Crowther said.
“Everyone has their own Christmas traditions and for many that includes looking at lights whether it be with the cavalcade or in their own time.”
